Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and mop provide the convenience of removing dry debris (dust dirt) and wet mess (spills and stains) in one go without having to swap out devices. They can also save space compared to two separate units, especially in smaller living spaces.
A good combination bot must be able to navigate well and have excellent obstacle avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a low cost and is one of the most simple robots we've tested to install. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide will have you up and running in no time with the complete dust bag, water tank, and hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can mop and vacuum well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to quickly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum cleaner comes with four power settings, as well as a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like for each room.
For instance, you could opt for the robot to clean up the kitchen and living rooms but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro's front collision sensors and its smart navigation technology are superb as the robot is capable of detecting small obstacles that other models struggle with. The only issue it has is that it can hit objects and walls at full speed. However, just a glance at the history of cleaning in the app will tell you exactly what it's doing, where it's going and what obstacles it's avoided.
The docking station comes with an LCD display that shows when maintenance is needed like emptying the debris and rinsing the water tank that is dirty. best cheap robot vacuum into the tank by itself by using a 600ml eufy solution.
Both the S1 Pro mop and vacuum have a long running time. The mop can operate for 184 minutes in Quiet Mode and the vacuum can run for 136 minutes in normal mode, prior to having to recharge or returning to the base. You can view the full cleaning details in the app, which is well laid out and easily understood, though we would have liked to be able to distinguish between a vacuum and mop and vacuum clean when examining a cleaned area in the history of cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra is the most recent version of the company's most popular robot vacuum and mop. It's not like the model from last year, this one features an agitator that doubles in its mopping pad, which significantly enhances its carpet cleaning capabilities. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction capacity which allows it to remove smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
Like the two other Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to can help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things a step further by having a dual camera that can recognize objects and determine whether they're a wall or another surface. It then can automatically alter its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive of the three models I've reviewed but it's also packed with features. Its sleek, angular design is striking and only has three physical buttons. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning, a mop button that doubles as a child lock, and a home-button to bring the robot to its dock. The hinged lid can be lifted to reveal a 350ml dust bin and 200ml water tank. The water tank automatically empties and the bin automatically refills.
The only issue I encountered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pads mount isn't removable. It is possible to replace the mopping cloth when needed, but it's difficult to take the mount off for manual washing. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will be in contact with the rough Velcro like fastener system on mount, which can cause scratches.
The S8 Pro Ultra has a number of smart capabilities that include support for Google Home, Amazon Alexa and Siri. You can configure and manage these via the Roborock app which is also the home of its maps and advanced mopping settings. The app also allows you to schedule cleanings, monitor the life of batteries and maintenance on components. But you'll need to jump through a few hoops to enable voice control with this model, which is a shame considering the quality of its performance.
3. Dreame X40
The Dreame X40 robot vacuum and mop is a market leader with its innovative features, top suction power and cutting-edge mowing abilities. Its clever design permits personalized and efficient cleaning, while also saving time.
The X40 robot vacuum cleaner is the first one to provide 12,000 Pascals cleaning power. It is one of the most powerful alternatives available. This powerful vacuum is able to clean up pet hair, crumbs and other dry debris. It comes with a mop of excellent quality that can clean hard floors without using a pad. The X40 is also very quiet in operation, with only occasional bursts during mode changes or self-maintenance.
The X40 also has an additional side brush that can be extended and lifted. This allows it to reach into corners that are difficult to reach and clean furniture that is curved such as table and chair legs. It also allows the robot to get under low-profile furniture, making it a great option for smaller apartments and condos with limited space. The side brush automatically swivels downwards when it detects wet spots. This is a nice feature that assists the X40 avoid damaging floors with the frequent back-and-forth movement.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one task, the X40 can do mopping and vacuuming at the same time or in a series. It can be programmed to only mop the hard floors and not skip carpeted areas, or reverse the process. It can be controlled by the Dreame App or Alexa, Siri, or Google Home to ensure that voice-controlled operations are smooth and easy.

The app is simple to use and understand and the X40 comes with a variety of smart features that are simple to configure. Users can program the X40 to clean at specific times. It can also be adjusted to adjust suction power, alter modes, view maps and floor plans, and manage mopping settings. The X40 will also track its progress and notify you when it's done.
The X40 is easy to keep clean and has many convenient features which make it a good option for busy families. The docking station can automatically cleans the dustbin and the mop pads and refill them with cleaning solution and fresh water. It can also detect whether the mop pad has reached its capacity to the max and alert you to the situation before it overflows.
4. L20 Ultra
The L20 Ultra robot is one of the most expensive models available. It does have several features that make it stand out. Smart DuoScrub, a new feature on its mop, utilizes two high-speed mop heads to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is significantly higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra or Ecovacs Deebot T20 Omni, and it can remove pet hair and smaller dirt particles as well as picking up spills and wet spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after each use. This is beneficial because it prevents mould and unpleasant odours from building up in the storage. It also makes the mop system more efficient. This is a system we've yet to see on other robot vacuum and mop models, and it could be a useful method of keeping your home hygienic for longer.
There's a wealth of options available, including the ability to schedule cleaning times and adjust a number of different preferences. The app allows you to set these preferences or make use of the buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and provides a variety of options for customising the cleaning routine. Additionally, there are a lot of features that other robots do not include, such as the Clean Genius mode that automatically boosts suction power when it detects dust particles rather than using the manual setting.
The L20 Ultra has a stylish design with a white-and-metallic finish that looks sophisticated and classy. It's a little heavier than some of the other two-in-one robots in this list - at 4kg - but it's not obscenely heavy either, and it feels sturdy and well-built. The mopping is also well-designed and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature allows them to reach up to 2mm below baseboards.
